The Morro Bay Art Center is proud to present Chuck Jennings, M.A., M.F.A. on Demo Day, March 11, 2024, from 3 to 5 PM. Jennings is the sole proprietor of Giclée Print and Photo and former Professor and Art and Graphic Design Department Chair at Cal Poly.

Chuck has a BA in painting and drawing, and MA and MFA degrees in Fine Art and Design. He began teaching design and color theory at Cal Poly in 1968. He was the Chair of the Department of Art and Design for 14 years before he retired in 2008. He has exhibited his work throughout the U. S. with favorite venues in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Sedona, Arizona. His work is included in the collection of the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C.

 Although for most of his art career he concentrated on painting, he has had a passion for photography since he bought his first single-lens reflex camera in 1967. Since 2002, he has devoted all his creative energies to digital photography. He now owns Giclée Print and Photo and ReelEyes Photography.

Chuck has a variety of interests, including classic cars and flying, but he is most well known locally for portraits and event photography, which includes his work with Hospice, CASA, and the League of Women Voters, and his technique of putting photos on canvas. He will be showing his wide-ranging photos, explaining his technique, and discussing his journey to professional artist.
