‘The Art of Musical Ornamentation’ Lecture-Demonstration

Mark Kroll will present a lecture-demonstration titled “The Art of Musical Ornamentation.”

Kroll, a harpsichordist and Boston University professor emeritus, will explain how and why ornamentation has been utilized by a wide range of composers and theorists. He will also play examples and invite audience members to submit melodies that they would like for him to ornament.
