Through the Eyes of a Monarch Art Show

  • The Bunker SLO 810 Orcutt Road San Luis Obispo, CA, 93401 United States (map)

Through the Eyes of a Monarch seeks not only to highlight the beauty of the monarch, but also to introduce the struggles that monarchs and many other pollinators face. Climate change, habitat loss and pesticides are affecting one of the earth’s smallest, yet very important species. Inspired by the incredible migration and the tragic decline of the western monarch, artists in this show tell the story of the butterfly through the creature’s eyes/lens in various ways that speak to them.

The exhibit will take place during the month of September at The Bunker SLO in support of the Central Coast State Parks Association and the Western Monarch Trail in partnership with the SLO County Arts Council. This collection is inspired by The Coastal Awakening and sponsored by the Shanbrom Family Foundation.
