This Thursday, February 1st from 12 to 1:30 PM join a free, virtual workshop on Career Planning. This is a workshop for artists and by artists. Where do you want to be both artistically and professionally? Learn how to define your values, identify key choices, and develop a plan to achieve your career goals. Facilitated by Adrienne De Guevara.
De Guevara combines self-taught and formal training in visual and performing arts attending Santa Barbara City College and Parsons School of Design. Her performance work has been presented in Santa Barbara, CA, San Francisco, CA, New York City, and Putney, VT. She co-founded Crux Productions, a theater and film production company in Brooklyn, NY, was co-creator of Mister Sister, an Avant Vaudeville comedy duo in NYC, frontwoman for Shakti Pops, an electronic-kirtan band, and worked as a director and lighting technician on projects in New York City and Vermont. In 2023 she was awarded an Individual Artist Fellowship from the California Arts Council. She is currently the Programs and Fund Development Officer for the Santa Barbara Arts Collaborative and a collaborator at MISC Workshop.
This event is brought to you by the Central Coast Arts Coalition as part of the California Arts Council Creative Corps program. Our “Work of Art: Business Skills for Artists” is a professional development curriculum designed to teach business skills to artists in all disciplines; the curriculum was developed by Springboard for the Arts. Artists can take the whole series, customized combinations, or individual workshops that best suit their needs.
