This half-day bookmaking workshop will focus on the link-stitch binding — a versatile, non-adhesive book structure that makes a great journal due to its strong sewing and ability to open flat.
Students will also be introduced to suminagashi and paste paper, two decorative techniques allowing the optional customization of the book covers. Some binding experience will be helpful but not required — all levels are welcome to join! Each student will leave with one or two hand-bound journals and some sheets of decorated papers to take home.
