Batik Style Watercolor with Linda Cunningham
In this four-hour workshop, Linda will demonstrate one of the many Batik methods to use on watercolor paper. Sculptural Lamp Stack with Mosaic
From foundation to final, learn to design and build your own unique & beautiful piece of focal garden art. Your sculptural stack may include lamps, ceramic pots, found objects, driftwood, as well as pre-made, ready-to-mosaic polystyrene/concrete forms. If you choose the three day option there will be class time to add mosaic to your forms. Each lamp stack will be completely portable for easy re-assembling at your home or site.

3rd Tuesday Dining with a Purpose: Arroyo Grande Public Art
Support local business Rooster Creek Tavern and Arroyo Grande Public Art!
A percentage of the sales at Rooster Creek Tavern on Tuesday, June 16th between 5pm and 9pm will benefit Arroyo Grande Public Art, a non-profit organization which is dedicated to enriching Arroyo Grande’s visual appeal with art that reflects the city’s unique culture and rich history, while providing local artists an opportunity to showcase their work.
Arroyo Grande Public Art projects include city-owned utility boxes and the Butterfly/Hand Sculpture at the Regional Center. The organization is currently working on a Foxy tribute sculpture and a mural to be placed on a building in the Village of Arroyo Grande.

This is Not a Couch: Student-Run Art Show
“This is Not a Couch” is a collection of paintings and sculptures by nine graduating Studio Art majors at Cal Poly. The title parodies Rene Magritte's 1929 painting "Ceci n'est pas une pipe", or "This is not a pipe". The piece is in fact, a painting of a pipe, which acts as a nod to the importance of visual language, the significance of symbols in art and representation vs. reality.

Creative Kids: Summer Break
Creative Kids is continuing through summer! As always, the class will be exploring a variety of mediums throughout the series. Since there will be regular students coming back, instructor Carolina Luna ha decided to include some favorite mediums in multiple weeks so the group can build our skills! The instructor is also introducing a new medium for this session: CYANOTYPE!

Intro to Bookmaking
Learn the basics of bookmaking and create your own set of hand-bound journals! This 4 hour workshop will introduce you to the fundamentals of bookbinding, as well as simple paper patterning techniques to give you the option of customizing your book covers. Leave with a set of three small notebooks, ready for all your note taking, dream journaling, and ideating needs!
All tools and materials are included, however students may wish to pick up additional papers to work with from the ARTery.
Block Printing Basics with Lego
Fun, engaging workshop where you will learn the basics of block printing while creating your own one of a kind artwork! This is a beginner class for ages 8 and up, using brick building blocks to create your unique patterns.

This workshop is open to adults of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced artists, and provides an opportunity to practice observational drawing in a supportive, creative environment. Most sessions feature a nude model unless otherwise stated. Walk-ins welcome!
Pen to Paper Open Writing Sessions
Join Fieldwork’s community of writers. Pen to Paper offers a low pressure, supportive environment intended to help you get words down on paper. The group is structured around short sprints that help lower the stakes and get your hand moving across the page. This is NOT a critique session. You do not need to have anything prepared in advance. Bring your current project, your big ideas, even your writer’s block. The goal is just to get pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard as the case may be).

All materials provided and you leave with your custom designed ring. You will choose band style, bezel style and cabochon.
ALL SYMBOLS CAST Opening Reception
Created along the fog heavy coastline of Morro Bay, Julia Schwebel’s All Symbols Cast carries the feeling of a practice deeply tied to environment, solitude, and repetition. The exhibition reflects an artist allowing instinct and process to lead, trusting that meaning can emerge through accumulation rather than certainty. What remains are works that feel suspended between dream and document, image and atmosphere, familiarity and something far stranger lingering just underneath it.
Painting an Oregon River with Pastels
In this full day workshop we’ll paint Oregon’s McKenzie River. This class focuses on moving water (including glacial blues and whitewater rapids) and chaotic forests. We’ll start with an alcohol under-painting. This is an instructor-led class with demonstrations each step of the way. All experience levels welcome.
Art in the Park
May 23, 24 & 25 Morro Bay Art in the Park is one of the longest-running outdoor art festivals on the West Coast. Held three times a year with 100+ vendors, Art in the Park remains MBAA'S most significant fundraiser. Proceeds from these events support student scholarships, year-round arts programming and the ongoing vitality of Art Center Morro Bay, the MBAA's gallery and event space. The festival continues to be a platform for artists to show their work and a way to welcome visitors to our community.

Whether you're doodling, knitting, collaging, whittling, or experimenting with something entirely your own, Tuesday evenings at Fieldwork are a chance to step out of your solo routine and share a table with other creatives. No rules, no pressure—just good vibes.
Bridging the Gap: Art for Change
Restorative Partners is hosting an art show fundraiser that will include: art, demonstrations, artist showcases, live portraits, live and silent auctions, arts and craft booths, children’s activities, plus food and live music. Admission to this event is free.
Mike Hernandez Plein Air Workshop
This plein air painting workshop is sponsored by the Paso Robles Art Association and taught by Mike Hernandez, a well-known plein air painter and teacher. The workshop lasts two days, May 16 and 17, and will be held at three locations, starting at the Mission San Miguel.
Registration fee is $450 for PRAA members; $475 for non-members.

Monet Davis “Dreamscapes by Night Cloud”
Night Cloud is a solo ambient music project by Monet Davis that layers various combinations of instruments from around the world, including piano, synthesizer, ngoni, handpan, Native American flute, monochord, chimes, and harmonium, to weave together original soundscapes that soothe the nervous system and invite the listener into expanded dream-state consciousness.
Bring your art project to work on while listening to ethereal sounds. Or just bring yourself, ready to lounge, relax, and receive the dreamy vibrations created by Night Cloud.

Love Is For All Of Us: Writing for Tenderness And Resilience
Poetry reading and discussion with award winning poets James Crews and Brad Peacock. Participants will have the opportunity to respond to prompts that the poets provide, although this is totally optional. There is no charge for this event, but registration is required.

The first Printery Art Walk will invite the public to walk through the building, visit artist booths, watch demonstrations, and experience the Printery as it continues to come back to life as a community center and arts space. Admission is free, but attendees can make a donation to support Printery restoration.
