Join the Harold J Miossi Art Gallery as they celebrate the fantastic work of our Cuesta student artists. There will be food and art and tunes by Cuesta Music combo The New Choice. It is always a festive occasion.

Jurors Christina McPhee and Katie Herzog had their work cut out for them as they narrowed down the 180+ submitted works down to the final 55 pieces selected to be in the exhibition.  The art that you will find represent just a fraction of the incredible work being done in the Fine Arts Department, but it is a diverse sampling of the talent, skill and creativity of Cuesta College students. 

Special thanks to the Miossi Trust for funding all of the Honorable Mention awards and to Dr. Fred Novy, whose endowed gift created the Helen Novy Art Fund which allows the Harold J Miossi Art Gallery to present cash awards for the best in each category: Sculpture, Printmaking, Photography, Painting, Graphic Design, Drawing and Ceramics as well as the Best In Show award.  The Helen Novy Art Fund also funds 10 studio practice/classroom awards for students who do not have work in the Student Annual but were selected by the Cuesta faculty for their excellence in the classroom as well as the finished work that they are creating. The purpose of these awards is to encourage students with a strong potential for art.
