This style of mosaic is inspired by the timeless works of Antoni Gaudi, Raymond Isidore, Simon Rodia, Ilana Shafir and others. In this ONE-DAY INTENSIVE WORKSHOP, you’ll create a 12” x 16” Organic Mosaic Assemblage for wall display. No grout will be applied. It will be self grouted in a bed of thin set mortar. Passiflora Mosaics will offer insights into the setting techniques and the unique details that define this mosaic style. Materials may include special pieces you’ve collected, along with unique tesserae and one of a kind items the instructors have been saving just for this class. These include handmade ceramic pieces, china, natural stones, pebbles, shells, metal, drift wood, found objects and more.
