Based on true events, Elijah Woods stars as John Malcolm Brinnin, the New York academic who brought Dylan Thomas to America. Acor/co-writer Celyn Jones plays the volatile celebrity poet—tormented by anonymity, alcohol and the abyss—who scandalized Manhattan literati of the 50s. In the face of his wilder excesses in the Big Apple, John has no choice by to hijack Dylan to a private retreat to get him ready for America. The days and nights that follow will change his life forever.

Winner of Best Original Music and Best Production Design and nominated for Best Feature Film and Best Screenwriter at the BAFTA Awards. Nominated for Best British Feature Film at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.

This screening will by introduced by Dr. John Goodby, professor of arts and culture at Sheffield Hallam University in the UK. The leading authority on Dylan Thomas, Dr. Goodby has written extensively on his work and edited his Collected Poems.
